A friend who is also a midwife recommended the tens machine to me and I couldn’t thank her enough. The tens machine really did help me push through the contractions, being a great distraction. Was also the only method of pain relief during my labour.

An absolute must have for labour. I began using the tens machine just prior to leaving home for the hospital and was the only thing I required to manage the pain throughout the entire labour period. This machine was a life saver to use while in labour at home, while it doesn’t take away the pain completely it was a great relief and distraction, especially in the drive to the hospital. The little machine that keeps on surprising. When I thought I had hit the max setting I realised there was one more to go, which got me through the time before I needed to push allowing me to avoid pain relief. The Tens Machine provided me relief in labour, I am grateful to have hired one. It was the distraction I needed and gave me a sense of control when contractions begun. I would recommend upgrading to the Tens Machine that times contractions, as this would have been useful when communicating with midwives. The Tens was so great to use in the early stages of labour and l used it to the highest level. It was another tool that lead me to birth naturally without any medical pain relief.
LOVED the TENS during labour. It definitely helped me have a drug free VBAC. The only time I took it off (hesitantly) was to get in the bath to birth baby. The whole hiring and return process was so easy too

Unsure if this actually helped prep my uterus for birth, but I found this tea delicious to drink everyday in the lead up and postpartum.
The best! Was able to stay home till I was fully dilated (hospital is around the corner from us) drug-free natural labour, would not have been able to do it without the tense machine. This was my second pregnancy and labour using it and swear by it!

I used the tens machine for 2 pregnancies. Both labours were very quick and because of this I was unable to have epidural. The tens machine really got me through as it helped manage my pain as well as tracking my contractions. Highly recommend this product!
